Licorice tea is also given for digestive weakness, especially when accompanied by fatigue and shortness of breath. In Chinese medicine licorice, Glycyrriza uralensis, is said to replenish vital energy, moisten the lungs, strengthen the digestion, and modulate the effect of other herbs.
